Yesterday, I spent an easy day with my friend Ms. Write Again Soon. One of the worst parts of getting older is having less time for friends. Stupid work and other lifeish things get in the way. Though I have been very lucky to keep so many friends in the same general area as myself, somehow we don't get around to seeing one another enough for my tastes.
One of Ms. WAS's many lovely traits is her ability to take advice for hours on end, and then do exactly as she sees fit. I wouldn't have it any other way. After listening to all of my suggestions we enjoyed a lovely time bridal shower in her honor. Gifts and laughs and decadent food were all quite divine. It was a delightful day!
Earlier in the morning Flounder was off to San Francisco for the annual gathering of "his people." I hope he has a wonderful time. Here at home I will be enjoying myself as well. I love my husband. So much so we spend nearly all our time together. A week on my own is as refreshing to me as a week among his brethren is for Flounder. I expect we will both have a great time and be even happier to come back together next weekend.
